I met Irina Bogacheva in a dressing room at the Bastille in early 2005 when she shared a dressing room with my artist and was performing in the Boris Godunov. She was beautiful and intelligent woman. I did not know at the time how very famous she was in Russia. She was curious to know the people that I managed and why I traveled to see them perform. Later I got a call from her in NYC, she invite me to her International voice competition (St. - Petersburg), and I was the only non-Russian judge on the judging panel of 5. We became very friendly, she had me sit next to her at the judging table at the competition and she asked me to do a Masterclass in St. Petersburg conservatory that I did in November 2005. She set up TV interviews and she treated me with great respect. It was truly exciting experience! I am very thankful that I had a chance to know this beautiful singer! RIP! Zvetlaia pamiat'
